i wanted to see where in the world i could draw the largest convex polygons containing no cities over 1 million residents
looks like siberia wins, followed by either canada-great plains (esp if you include greenland) or the sahara-congo. manaus eliminates the amazon from the running. australia-new guinea's pretty big too.
